The Dress

It was integral that my wedding dress was unique, comfortable, high quality and most importantly stunning! This one of a kind Mariana Hardwick dress definitely played the part, making a statement with it's flawless bead work and high quality craftsmanship. This 'Sevigne' gown was the only one made as part of the 2016 collection. Retailing for $4600 I purchased the dress at Mariana Hardwick and wore it in December of 2017.

The sheer bodice is embroidered with antique ivory and pearl beading. It is a stunning ivory colour and the skirt is A-line and made from pure silk and tulle. The dress is so stunning on its own that the only jewellery I wore was a head piece and silver bracelet. The beautiful flowing train bustles up very easily with a wrist loop. Although I am a size 10 (height: 172 cm) this dress is quite forgiving and could easily fit size 12.

I have had my dress professionally cleaned at a cost of $400 by Master Dry Cleaners, who specialise in wedding dress cleaning and preservation. The dress is back to nearly perfect condition other than some general marks around the hem of the silk underskirt that are not noticeable when the dress is on.

I am also selling my 2-piece full-length Mariana Hardwick satin edged ivory veil. This required no cleaning as it is in perfect condition. This is a two-piece veil including a full-length veil with a dramatic train and detachable half-length veil. Purchased for $385 I am selling for $250.

Few alterations needed to be made to the dress. These included a slight tightening of the straps on the top that sits underneath the sheer bodice and replacement of a couple of beads and buttons that were missing when purchased from Mariana Hardwick.
