The Dress

I am selling my BEAUTIFUL SHOW STOPPER of a wedding two piece gown. I absolutely love this combination and Rime Arodaky is an amazing designer. So unique.

Top was bought brand new for £860 from Net-a-Porter.
Skirt was bought second hand on Still White for £1000. RRP brand new at £2700.

Rime Arodaky's floor-sweeping white maxi skirt is designed with the modern bride in mind. Cut to sit at the slimmest part of your waist, this crepe 'Pennington' style is complete with a stunning lace train and waistband. Complete the look with the coordinating top.

Rime Arodaky's lace and crepe top is crafted in France and cropped to define the narrowest part of your waist. Showcase the sheer back and coated buttons with an updo.

I wore the top with a backless bra with clear straps. The top is a size 42 (Uk size 14) which I coordinated with a size 40 skirt as I wanted a slightly looser fit. Plus I am a size 34D so I didn’t want it pulling across the front. The French sizes are slightly smaller than UK I have found.

Alterations:
Top- brand new to me. Worn once. No marks. I had very slight alterations only at front of lace. Darts put in to have the lace sit tighter around the skin. Only about a cm in total. In hindsight perhaps a size 12 would have been fine. But I was very happy with the fit.

Skirt- The skirt is second hand to me, having been worn by another bride once before me. I found the original skirt had a huge train that was quite heavy so I had that taken in, but still have original lace if you wanted to add to it. The skirt is originally a size 12 and I had the skirt modified as lost more weight than I thought. The dimensions are as follows:

23cm below the waist band (not including lace top) is 45 cm wide.

Waist band is 35cm across

Length from waist band to floor at front 111cm

There are a few grey marks on the bottom but if you were smaller than me then you could take it up by 2cm and that would clear them all. I wore 3inch heels and am 5ft6in.

I am a size 10-12

I was truly AMAZED at what seamstresses can do with alterations. Please do not be put off by the fact there are a few grey marks. More photos on request.

I wore the dress until the real party started and then changed into a jumpsuit to preserve the dress!

I had so many compliments about how unique this dress was. It pains me to say goodbye to it and would love someone to enjoy how special it made me feel for a day...xx
