The Dress

I bought this dress from another stillwhite seller very early on in my wedding process but ultimately went for a different dress after a lot of deliberation so it has still only been worn once.

I fell in love with the modern simplicity of this dress - it’s elegant but relaxed enough so that you can still feel yourself in it which is so important.

The back of the dress is its real selling point, the scalloped lace is so flattering and a little bit sexy and the covered buttons add that classic touch. It gives SUCH a beautiful silhouette when fitted to your body.

As I mentioned, the dress was bought in a larger size new and then tailored to make it much narrower on top which is really helpful for those of us who have some curves. I had it pinned to me in an initial consultation with a tailor who said it could easily be adapted to my frame (size 8 on top/10 on bottom). It’s been professionally dry cleaned and is in perfect condition aside from two tiny water stains on the train which are not noticeable unless you were examining the hem!

Alterations

The original seller bought this dress in a larger size but had it fitted to a UK 10 on top/ UK 12 on the bottom
which is great for those of us with slightly larger hips. Minimal alterations to the hem as it was worn by a 5”10 bride.
