The Dress
Beautiful and classic dress made by Jane Hill.
The crepe fabric is thick so it it very flattering on the body (any underwear can be worn), but is also lightweight and comfortable. It has a really pretty mesh paneling on the side, which gives it the illusion of being more open, while keeping you secure. The back is low cut and also has some button detailing. the dress also has a thicker waistband, which gives a more cinched waist look.
The dress was purchased as a split size - size 8 on top and size 12 on the bottom. I did not need any alterations to the actual size of the dress once it arrived.
Alterations
I did alterations to shorten the straps a bit as they were falling off, and to hem to my height with shoes. The hem is a raw hem so very easy to cut further if needed. I also added a bustle to the dress, which can't be seen while the dress is down. Finally, I added cups to the inside of the dress - I am a 34C bust.
