The Dress

I absolutely adored my dress and felt incredibly chic and elegant! It has a flattering high neck cut in the front but the standout feature is the floral lace detailing on the back. It was also very comfortable and didn’t cling to the body like many other dresses I tried. This dress is one of a kind and I couldn’t find anything like it in Australia (I ordered it online). Would love for it to make another bride as happy as it made me!

One of the three buttons at the back of the neck is coming loose but a tailor should be able to secure this. There are also some loose threads along the bottom hem (which might not even matter if you will be shortening the dress anyway).

Alterations

Dress tag says 40 (FR sizing) but with my alterations it probably fits like a size 8.
I had it shortened slightly in the front and on the train so I wouldn’t be tripping on it all night. Without shoes I am 5’10” so there’s still plenty of length on it.
The band around the neck was taken in and made thinner (if you look at the dress on the designer’s website you’ll see it’s made with a much looser, thicker neck band).
I also had the waist taken in slightly.
